A Spectank® is filled with water and CARBSOLVE® (a user-friendly, food-grade cleaning powder).
The solution is heated to 80°C, ensuring that harmful bacteria will be killed.
Soiled items are soaked in this solution for a period of 1 to 24 hours depending on the severity of the “Black Carbon” build up.
These cleaned and sanitised items are removed, rinsed off with fresh water and are then ready for use.
The solution remains active for a month.

It is safe to soak aluminium, stainless steel, mild steel, cast iron, plastic and fabric in a Spectank®.

A Spectank® is either rented or supplied free on loan with a monthly service agreement.

On a monthly cycle, Spectank® will service your tank which covers the following:
- Draining the tank
- Rinsing and cleaning the tank
- Refilling the tank with fresh water and a new batch of CARBSOLVE®
- All repairs and maintenance of the tank
